Our wine of the month is Homeward Bound Shiraz
A ripe nose with fresh summer berries, plums, damson and a subtle hint of white pepper and smoke.
Syrah is one of the UK's favourite grape varieties and sold £370m worth last year. Syrah is originally French in origin and made its way to Australia in the late 1700's with Captain Cook. Today Syrah sales are dominated by the Australian examples rather than the French, hence Syrah is now Homeward Bound back to Europe!
