There are many seasonal events we can’t plan in their usual format at the moment – Halloween and Christmas parties for example. However, there is one thing we can always rely on; cake!
Cake is ever-popular with its seasonal varieties, the delight of a chocolate cake any time of year, an absolute must at a birthday celebration (including Catering 2 You’s first birthday this month :) ), even a key feature at weddings.
On a more practical level, considering the current challenges around eating out, cake also works well as a take-away treat – home-baked Halloween muffins for the kids or a vanilla sponge as a crowd pleaser – check our recipe here October also includes a couple of foodie events that you may wish to celebrate to help promote your cake range.
The good news is that having a small but popular and tasty cake range doesn’t need to be complicated – with just a range of 3 you can cover a chocolate option, a non-chocolate classic such as Victoria sponge or carrot cake, and a seasonal option that you can rotate to allow for new messaging – apple pie in autumn, Halloween muffins, Christmas treats etc.
In summary, cakes are popular all year round, flexible and easy to manage - what’s not to like? Now, off to get the kettle on….
