Welcome to Catering2You

During these exceptional times we have decided to restrict the number of our warehouse team working at the same time which has resulted in a reduction on the number of orders we can process daily.

We are proud to offer a five working day delivery service to give you the assurance that when your goods are ordered that’s one less thing to worry about.

The Upper Hand - A summer holiday season with a twist...

We have already been lucky enough to see the sun a great deal this spring and it has no doubt helped get many of us through the last few months of lockdown, whether you’ve been furloughed and sorting out the garden, or working from home and keeping yourself going through with a daily walk in the sunshine…

Now, with retail shops open again and the announcement that leisure and hospitality businesses can start opening from 4th July, albeit with social distancing measures in place, it feels like we are heading towards some form of normality, even if it is a new and different one.

And for those of you with school children at home, you might feel relieved at the prospect of not having to home school for six weeks – or you might be worried that, with many restrictions still in place, here and abroad, the summer holidays could become a challenge.
Here are some thoughts on ideas to make the best of the summer season;

  • Stay-cation. Many of us will be reluctant to take on airports, plane journeys and the idea of a two week isolation period upon returning to the UK. However, with many leisure sites now allowed to open again, and hoping that the good weather stick around, a UK holiday may be just the ticket. You get the chance to explore new parts of the country with the added benefit of supporting local businesses and tourist attractions as they start the road to recovery…
  • Learn a new skill – this might be one for the kids, too. You could sign up to learn a new language and combine this with trying exciting new food and drink from your country of choice. Make it a Spanish summer from your own home with a paella and a jug of sangria!
  • BBQs. That’s all. Lots of BBQs. You can even invite a few friends around as long as you stay outdoors…
  • The UK has been baking like never before during lockdown. This is also a great activity to get the kids involved in, especially for those rainy days that may sneak in here and there – and it does, of course, come with the great reward of a hot drink and a lovely piece of cake (or two!). Check our recipe section (add link) for ideas to get you started.

It will be a different summer, that’s for sure. We hope you find ways to enjoy it, maybe discover new places and new hobbies, and get to spend some overdue time with the people who matter to you, as we progress along this journey.
