The Upper Hand - Dry January doesn’t have to mean dull January
The new year, new you approach to January has led to many popular and recurring foodie focusses such as Veganuary and the topic of this blog – dry January; giving up all forms of alcohol drinks for the duration of this first month of the new year.
Just like many people would say that you need to have healthy snacks in the house to steer clear of the less healthy ones, many people are looking for low/no alcohol drinks that go beyond just the obvious ones of water and the more traditional fizzy drinks…
Ideas for this could include everything from virgin cocktails and 0% alcohol wines and beers, to hot drinks (with the added benefit in the winter months of being, well, hot!), and a selection of many so-called ‘adult soft drinks’ that continuously enter the market.
Ensuring your selection is reflective of these points is, of course, critical to boost your sales if your business doesn’t have a licence to sell or serve alcohol and, although there is a particular focus on the low/no alcohol drinks in January, these are popular all year round and will add both variety and a premium feel - and therefore a potential trade-up opportunity - to your range.
