So simple, yet so satisfying! These scrummy shortbreads will melt in your mouth and are the pefect pairing with a cuppa.
Serves: 15 Time: 50 mins


Ingredients:
125g Butter
55g Tate & Lyle Caster Sugar, plus a little extra to sprinkle
200g Plain White Flour
1. Mix the butter and sugar together in a bowl until smooth.
2. Add the flour and mix until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
3. Once combined, take the mixture out of the bowl onto a surface and knead into a dough.
4. When dough is ready, wrap in cling film and chill for 30mins.
5. Once dough has chilled, remove the cling film and roll out the dough on a floured work surface until it is 3mm thick.6. Use your choice of cutter to cut out 15 biscuits.
7. Using a fork, prick a few holes in line in the centre of each biscuit then sprinkle with a little caster sugar.
8. Bake in a preheated oven (180°c) for 12 minutes, or until lightly golden.
9. When baked, allow to cool for 10 minutes before enjoying!
