Filled with apples, pears and orchard fruits this takes what the Italians do with Pinot Grigio and shifts it up a gear. There's a little more fruit and weight on the palate but it's all the better for it.
Trapiche now farm around 2,000 hectares of their own fruit after starting with a single vineyard in 1883. They also source from 200 contracted and long term growers. This gives them enormous flexibility to meet almost any wine demanded in any market. We're stuck in the Pinot Grigio loop of Italy but this wine shows it can be bigger and better elsewhere.
Best served with a Chicken Caesar Salad.
